OK, so 'm... is now installed and protecting your inbox. What is next?

While no further configuration is required there are some optional things that you may wish to do to get the most out of the product.

  • Ezine Subscriptions - The first thing that you will probably want to do is add your ezine subscriptions to your list of verified senders. Eventually, you will probably want to update your subscription to use a CaseKey, but adding them to verified senders is a quick and easy start, and will ensure that you don't miss a single issue. In the future, when signing up to an ezine you may wish to use a CaseKeyed version of your email address.
Issuing a new CaseKey for an account is easy - just right-click on the 'm... icon in the system tray, select "Issue CaseKey" and then select the appropriate account.
Note: Updating your e-mail subscription addresses with CaseKeyed versions of your e-mail address will ensure that subscriptions are delivered. In doing this you will also be able to use 'm...'s find CaseKey facility to determine which subscriptions give out your email address to others and remove their CaseKey accordingly.
  • Spamborders - You may also wish to review and adjust your Spamborders to accept e-mail that has been detected from within the geographic area(s) that are relevant to you. Spamborders are transparent to users detected within your borders and are not subject to sender verification.
  • Time to Hold Pending Messages - By default suspect messages will be held for 7 days subject to the sender responding to a request to verify. You can adjust this time on the Account Settings dialog.
  • Sender Verification Message - If you wish to add your own personal touch to the message that is sent requesting a sender to verify, you can view and edit the message template by clicking on the Sender Verification, Settings item on tree control within 'm...
Things to Remember
  • CaseKeys are auto-generated. Every outgoing email issues a CaseKeyed version of your e-mail address to the people that you contact ensuring that replies to your emails are delivered.
Also, unlike any other sender verification system that we know of, when you send an email to  someone and are subjected to their Sender Verification (Challenge/Response) System,  Geobytes 'm...'s CaseKeys will ensure that your message is not trapped by the traditional problem of two Challenge Response Systems ping-ponging.

  • Random CaseKeys can be manually created by right-clicking on the 'm... icon in the system tray, selecting "Issue CaseKey" and then selecting the appropriate account.

  • The Help, About Geobytes 'm... dialog from within 'm... will display the version number of 'm.... To check if an update is available see the version number on the "Geobytes 'm... Information" table on the download page at http://m.geobytes.com/Download.html.

  • The method of delivery can always be seen in the selected e-mail's header. Current delivery methods include:

    X-GeobytesDeliveredBy: Spamborders
    X-GeobytesLocationCode: XXXXXXXX

    X-GeobytesDeliveredBy: Spamborders
    X-GeobytesLocationCode: intranet

    X-GeobytesDeliveredBy: CaseKeys
