The New Account Wizard within
guides you through the configuration process.
Step 1. Welcome to the Geobytes
New Account Wizard.
Step 2. Select the type of mail reader that you currently use
to read email. If your type of mail reader is not in
the list you will need to select "Configure Manually".
Step 3. (Automatic configuration only) Select the email account
that
is to protect.
Step 4. Enter and / or review your e-mail account details
on the Account
Settings dialog.
When manually configuring
- the following information will need to be entered into the "Account
Settings" dialog, please review these settings before continuing
for both configuration types. When automatically configuring
you will need to enter your POP3 Password, Activation Token and
your location details as these details are not detected.
- a valid Activation Token
- your full e-mail address (fred@example.com)
- your POP3 user name (fred)
- the POP3 Password used to connect to your mail server
- your POP3 mail server (pop3.example.com)
- your SMTP mail server (smtp.example.com)
- and your location details (for your first Spamborder)

When
is being configured manually you will also need to configure your mail reader to read mail
from
instead of reading it from your POP3 and SMTP servers directly. This can be done
by changing your POP3 and SMTP
servers to ‘localhost’ in the email account settings of you mail
reader.

5. Validate your
and mail reader configuration by opening your mail reader, checking for new
mail then checking the "I have opened my mail reader and checked for new
messages" checkbox.
