Message Keys for Outlook is currently in Beta. There are a number of reasons why we are holding the plug-in "beta" - the main one being that the two auxiliary key issuing facilities - the web service that allows you to publish a dynamically keyed instance of your email address on your own web page, and a facility whereby you can manually issue a keyed instance of your email address - say to publish on your business card, are both still under development, and should come on line in the next month or so, (and certainly by the end of July 09). So in the meantime, we will be keeping the plug-in in beta.

Here is what you should know before downloading.
Message Keys for Outlook is currently in Beta.
The current version does not explicitly support IMAP or Exchange Cache Mode, although it will still run in these environments it does not check your junk folder for messages that your spam filter lost while Outlook was not connected to the server. (We are currently working on adding this support.)
Message Keys for Outlook is totally free for the first 12 months, after which time you can either elect to purchase a subscription or opt in to an advertising sponsored subscription. (The advertising sponsorship is almost identical to that which Google uses with it free GMail accounts - most people don't even realize that it is there.)
Message Keys for Outlook, as the name suggest requires Microsoft Outlook - it only works with Microsoft Outlook and will not work with Outlook Express or Windows Mail, Eudora, or anything else. Sorry - we are working on other versions and will provide links to them from here when they are available.
Message Keys for Outlook is not a Spam Filter. It works with your existing Spam Filter to recover messages that your existing filter mistakenly places in your junk folder. Message Keys for Outlook will never move a message in to your junk folder - it can only ever recover messages from your junk folder.
Message Keys for Outlook appends an "Informational Footer" to each email that you send - similar to the footer that other popular plug-ins (such as AVG) append. The purpose in this case however is different - we are not using the inserted footer to try and get you to upgrade from the free version or otherwise to use the messages that you send as a free billboard. And while we do suggest that the recipient download their own copy of Message Keys, the primarily purpose of the footer is to explain the purpose of the "key" in your email address and assure the recipient that if they reply to your message, then their reply won't end up in your spam folder.
The "Informational Footer" looks something like this:
- Replies to this message are protected by Geobyte's Email Permission Keys technology, and are thereby guaranteed not to get caught in my Spam Filter's junk folder. Go to http://www.messagekeys.com/ to find out more or to download your own free copy of Geobytes' Message Keys plug-in.
BTW Once the plug in is out of beta, then you will be able to remove or modify the "Informational Footer" by purchasing a subscription. (In the meantime, if it is a real problem - say you work for a government department or something, then please write to us as we offer annual corperate subscriptions that allow you to remove the footer - starting from $50 for 50 users.)
Enough said...
